Public Faith is the blog for the Centre for Theology and Public Issues. CTPI is the original centre for academic research in public theology. Located in the School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh, CTPI scholars have expertise in Christian and Jewish theology, media arts, peacebuilding, environmental ethics and many other areas. CTPI brings these scholars into conversation with the public, practitioners, and other academics to address pressing matters of public concern. The director of CTPI is Dr Jolyon Mitchell. More information is available on the CTPI website and on our Wikipedia page.
The purpose of the Public Faith blog is to create an online forum around CTPI’s many events and publications. We hope you will join us in exploring the meaning of public faith for the twenty-first century.
Public Faith is managed by Jamie Pitts, a PhD candidate in Theology and Ethics at the University of Edinburgh and the social media officer for CTPI. Contact Jamie about the blog here.
