Today marks the launch of Public Faith, a blog for the Centre for Theology and Public Issues at New College, University of Edinburgh. The Centre, CTPI for short, conducts academic theological research on pressing public issues in Scotland and abroad. As a centre for public theology, our research methodology is dialogical, and we work in constant partnership with other academics, practitioners, policy makers and, most importantly, the public. And that, ultimately, is why we’re starting this blog: to hear from you about issues you care about and want to think through theologically. We hope that our event announcements, guest posts and news items will grab your attention and you’ll join us in discussing what it means to have a public faith in the twenty-first century. Please feel free to learn more about CTPI and this blog on the about page, and by clicking on links to our pages on the New College website and on Wikipedia. We look forward to getting to know you in the coming weeks.
